PHARMACOGNOSY LAB
Pharmacognosy lab provides adequate facilities for morphological and microscopically studies of cells and tissues from natural sources of animals, plants, microbes and minerals for the standardization.
This lab has complete extraction section which provides an opportunity for the students to learn all the possible techniques of extraction, isolation and identification of phytoconstituents of drugs. Other instruments facilitate to perform physicochemical tests, determination of quantitative and qualitative analysis as well.
There is complete section for T.S microscopic analysis by section cutting and staining process which facilitate the tissue culture techniques, crop improvement, hybridization and colonel propagation etc.
Along with multimedia and air conditioning facilities few fresh grown plants and about 100 dried natural products from plant origin in the form of crude drugs are displayed and possessed in this spacious lab to perform identification extraction and microscopic evaluations practicals for students.
